Where the B40-8 lock washer pairs with 8-series hardware, this B40-6 version is sized for the smaller 6-series bolts used elsewhere in the Rotary lift’s frame and arm hardware. The split-ring profile is identical in function, but the reduced bore and outer diameter mean it will not properly engage an 8-series bolt head, so matching the size to the OEM reference is important rather than substituting a nearby size. SVI heat-treats this washer to the same spring temper as the OEM part, which is what allows it to keep tension on the joint long after a standard washer would have gone flat. It’s inexpensive insurance against a loose bolt turning into a bigger repair down the line.
