Installation Notes

  3. Disconnect the existing ball joint from the spindle following the vehicle service procedure.
  4. Remove the ball joint nut and washer from the control arm slot and remove the old joint.
  5. Position the replacement joint and lock plate for the caster setting required.
  6. Slide the joint in the arm slot for the desired camber setting and torque the camber adjusting nut to 120 lb-ft (162 Nm).
  7. Reconnect the ball joint to the spindle and torque the vehicle fastener to the manufacturer’s specification.
  8. Load the suspension to ride height, check clearance through suspension travel, align the vehicle, and road test.
